Walking through the city, I often look up at the sky. Yet, in a metropolis, truly observing the sky is no easy task; it requires one to stop, slow down, and consciously lift their gaze. Stretching infinitely upward between the towering buildings, the sky seems to hold a slower, different flow of time from the ground below. The outlines of these structures form a stark boundary line, separating the reality of the terrestrial world we inhabit from the surreal realm of the sky above. Framed by the silhouettes of the buildings, the city’s forms and scenery are inverted onto the sky, reflecting the landscape of an ever-evolving, constantly reconstructed metropolis.
街を歩くとき、私はよく空を見上げます。しかし、大都市で空を眺めることは簡単ではありません。立ち止まるか、歩みを緩めて意識的に頭を上げなければ、空に目を向けることはできないからです。 ビルとビルの隙間から広がる空はどこまでも高く伸び、地上とは異なるゆるやかな時間を湛えています。ビルの輪郭線（アウトライン）は、私たちが暮らす地上という現実空間と、空という非現実的な空間を強く隔てる境界線となります。切り取られた空には都市の風景や造形が反転して描き出され、絶えず建設され重なり合い続ける、この街の営みを映し出しているのです。
