Our living spaces are filled with a wide array of elements, and we pass our daily lives surrounded by them. In this work, I took fragmented scenes of the home and reconstructed them into new forms. Human memory relies heavily on physical objects. Even when an object loses its original structure, our visual perception allows us to recall its former function and presence.
私たちの住空間には、実にさまざまな要素が存在し、私たちはそれらに囲まれて日々を過ごしています。本作では、家にまつわる風景を断片的に切り取り、新たな形態へと再構築を試みました。 私たちの記憶は、客観的な「モノ」に強く依存しています。たとえそのモノが本来の形を失っていたとしても、私たちは残された視覚的な手がかりから、その機能やかつての姿を記憶の中で鮮明に思い起こすことができるのです。
