This installation is constructed from digital prints capturing urban textures—peeling walls, wooden facades, brick surfaces—encountered during travels and daily fieldwork, combined with simple wooden frames and raw building materials.
Once bound to specific architecture as a functional backdrop, these “surfaces” are detached from their original time and place through the act of photography and printing.
Severed from the physical structures they once depended upon, these printed surfaces emerge not as real objects, but as intangible, fictional fragments. Liberated from their original context, these surfaces form new sculptural relationships within the space. Behaves like actors taking on specific characters (Role players), they construct a shifting landscape where presence and absence, reality and fantasy, subtly collide in the viewer’s consciousness.
本作は、旅先や日々のリサーチで出会った都市のテクスチャ——壁の剥がれ、建物の木目、煉瓦の肌合いなどの「表層（スキン）」を撮影したデジタルプリントと、簡素な木枠や建築資材によって構成されたインスタレーションです。
もともと特定の建物や構造に属し、その背景として機能していた「表層」は、撮影されプリントとして出力されることで、元の時間や場所から切り離されます。
本来依存していた実体から離れたイメージは、実物そのものではなく一種の「空想の断片」として立ち現れます。元の文脈から解放された表層たちが、空間の中で新たな彫刻的関係性を結び、まるでそれぞれが特定の役柄を演じる役者（Role player）のように振る舞うことで、鑑賞者の意識の中に存在と不存、現実と空想が交差する別の風景を浮かび上がらせます。
