The potted plants placed along the streets I walk every day.
Are they meant to decorate the house, or to decorate the street itself?
Situated on the boundary between “street” and “home”—between public and private space—these plants not only adorn individual houses but also contribute to shaping the scenery of the town.
Such scenes with potted plants may seem like nothing more than trivial moments of everyday life, yet I wonder what happens when they are gathered together.
Through the frame, I explore the possibility that these small, ordinary moments can collectively generate an extraordinary landscape.
いつも通っている道に置かれている植木たち。植木たちは家を飾るものなのか道を飾るものなのだろうか。「道」と「家」というプライベートとパブリック空間の境界線に置かれる植木たちは、その家だけでなく、その町の風景をも作り出す存在になっている。そんな植木たちがある風景はたわいも無い日常の一場面ではあるが、それが集合した場合どうなるだろう。些細な日常の一場面は非日常的風景を作り出すことができる可能性を持っていることをフレームの中で実践している。
