The tourist postcards are printed with a view of somewhere across the ocean. Postcards are a tool for sharing memories and recollections that travel time and distance and would be given to someone by someone who has traveled there. I separate the sky from the buildings while thinking about what kind of city the postcard printed on that is about a place I have never been to and do not know. Then, the scenery of multiple unknown places and the sky of unknown places overlap, creating a new landscape that is somewhere but not everywhere.


観光地ポストカードには、海の向こうのどこかの景色が印刷されている。ポストカードは、時間と距離を移動し、そこへ旅をした人から誰かに贈られるであろう記憶と思い出を共有するツール。ポストカードに印刷された私が行ったことのない知らない場所についてどんな街なのか思いを馳せながら、空と建物を切り離す。そして、複数の知らない場所の風景と知らない場所の空が重なり合い、どこかではあるけれどどこでもない新しい風景を作り出している。
